PR 2 PTM Walking Route “Ao Sabor da Maré” – Complementary paths
The path begins in the car parking of Alvor’s Fishing Port, near the municipal pool. From here follows the existing footpath and turn right, turn round the Ria de Alvor to Ponta do Medo Grande. Here the path follows the sand along Alvor beach for about 1km. Leave the beach in the first stairs you find and follow the footpath over the dunes. At the end of the footpath follow the dirt road to the starting point.

Avoid walking on the dune when doing the trail. It is a fragile ecosystem and stepping on vegetation is contributing to the degradation of this habitat that needs much time to form.
