This 7th sector of Via Algarviana starts at Salir, a village located in the middle section of the EN124. The castle, now as a ruin, represents the most important historical building of the village. The track often crosses by old stone walls enclosing kitchen-gardens and rural properties, and crosses some groups of houses, as Almarginho, Cerro de Baixo e Cerro de Cima. Throughout this section, the presence of several water-wheels and other hydraulic devices makes the journey interesting, some notable signs of ancient agricultural practices.
