A magnificent panoramic view over the coastline, with the highlight being the scenery from the top of the Cerro da Boa Vista Hill, taking in several kilometres of the coast. The trail also affords an opportunity to admire the traditional architecture and buildings of the inland area of the Baixo Guadiana.
It’s a short pedestrian route with approximately 8 km in length. The route lets you visit the following localities: Laranjeiras, Guerreiros do Rio, Álamo and Corte das Donas. As this is a complete circuit, you can strar anywhere along its length and go in either direction.
This (unsignposted) route lets you visit the town’s various monuments, including the Castle, the Fortress, the Igreja Matriz (Main Church) and the Ravelin. You will also be able to enjoy an amazing view over the Castro Marim and VRSA Marshland Nature Reserve.

This essentially historical (but unsignposted) route lets you visit the main points of interest in the city of VRSA which, apart from its architecture, also boasts a fine riverfront avenue with a view over the Spanish city of Ayamonte.
Your walk takes you the village of Pereiro, where you can visit the “Blacksmith’s Museum” and the hamlet of Fonte Zambujo. The holm oak groves, the dam used for watering purposes in Pereiro and the museum at Fonte Zambujo are the attractions on this route.

The scenery, fauna, flora and typical constructions are just a few of the attractions on this route but the high point is in the months of January and February, when the almond trees are in blossom, covering the entire upland area with a cloak of white.
On this itinerary you will visit the localities of Vaqueiros, Madeiras and Monchique, as well as the picnic park at Fonte da Parra. The scenery around the Odeleite Stream is one of the route’s main attractions, as is Vaqueiros Church.
